is ignorance bliss?

so.

there are a lot of people in the world.

i know people (i know right?! :-D)
and some of them are so lost
and they dont even know it
they think they have everything under control
but they dont

its so sad to see people wandering through life
lost
back and forth on everything
confused

its easy for outsiders to see that someone is lost
and to see what they’re doing wrong
but the person who’s actually lost cant see anything!
and no matter how many people tell them
the only way they find their way is by seeing it themselves.

its like a corn maze

when you’re in the midst of it
you dont know which way is the right way
but someone above it can see exactly where you are
and where the exit is
and how to get you to the exit
and unless you’re willing to listen
and actually HEAR the direction of the person who can see where you are
you will wander around the maze until you find your way out

ignorance is bliss

when you dont know how great something is
you dont know what you’re missing out on
once you experience something totally awesome
when you lose it
you miss it

if you’ve never experienced God before
and i mean really really experience God
you dont know what you’re missing
youre ignorant of how awesome it is to be on the same page as Him
and you dont miss it because you dont know what it is

but once you’ve known Him
and His greatness
you will never be satisfied with anything else
you may try to fill the void with other things
or other people
but nothing will bring you the satisfaction of Him

maybe you havent known Him before
but you still cant fill the void inside you
thats because only He can.

i will personally guaruntee
(because im living proof!)
that when you FOR REAL connect with God
your life will be the best case scenario
no matter how great it is already
becasue He does things you cant do

you have to want Him more to get the things in life you’re looking for
you have to want Him more than those things
you have to get to a point where if you had nothing
you’d be fine
because God and you are GREAT.

and its way easier said than done!
you may have to work at it
and practice it

but when it happens
thats when you’ll see the MOST awesome things happen in your life
because when you want something more than you want God
when those things come along
they will take over everything in your life
those things will consume you
and you will lose relationships
and time
and energy
but when God consumes you
you gain relationships
and time
and energy
because God is LOVE.

if i lose my husband today
and my job
and my voice
and my future
and my family

I AM OK.

because me and God are great together.
we make the best team
and that is why i have my husband
and my job
and my voice
and my future
and my family

because they do not mean more to me than Him.

want Him first
want Him more

THEN everything will fall into place and you will see the deepest desires of your heart unfold before you.

LET ME IN!

i love summer. just like most people.

a lot of people prefer summer over winter.

we prefer light over clouds, and warmth over cold, and freedom over being stuck inside for a whole season.

even those who love winter love the part when they come inside and have hot cocoa, and sit by the fire with a blanket and a hot meal.

i think its just got to be something more than a preference. we cant just all prefer summer. there must be some correlation in our souls.

there must be something inside of us that longs for light. that longs for warmth. that longs for freedom and growth.

but does the change of season really do the job?

its sunny, but our souls are still dark.

its warm but our hearts are still cold.

we are a numb and blind generation.

groping in the darkness for answers, for some key to unlock what life is really supposed to be.

where is the joy? where is the love?

people have limits. we can only do so much loving, and we can only have so much joy.

but when we tap into God our joy OVERFLOWS and our love ABOUNDS.

He is the key to life.

i promise anyone who is reading this that when you follow Him with everything you are and you seek Him with your whole heart, you will find Him, and He will give you nothing but His very best for your life.

how do i know?

you may think im crazy but i know from personal, first hand experience. God knows me. and i get to know Him better every day.

God doesnt hate anyone. all He is capable of being is LOVE.

He can provide the light you’re looking for.

He can provide the warmth you desire.

He can provide the freedom you desperately need.

He is the key to unlocking a better life.

He will do it when you decide to let Him.
